Membership
The group will be open to all anaesthetists with an interest in obstetric anaesthesia. Trainees should be encouraged to attend all meetings and actively encouraged to participate. All members will be eligible to vote at business meetings. The Secretary will maintain an up to date list of members and those consultants in charge of obstetric units.
Officers
The Officers will be elected and will comprise Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer; they will hold post for three years. The Officers will form the planning team for all meetings, co-opting trainees and members as required.

These may have scientific/educational or business content, and will be hosted by different hospital, but held at a central London location. At least two of the former and one of the latter type will take place per year (both types may be combined into one meeting). The scientific/educational meetings should be supported by trade/industry. Provisions for CME recognition will be made where appropriate.

The Treasurer will maintain a bank account and present accounts to the group annually. Signatures of the Treasurer and one other Officer will be required for withdrawals. Contributions will be sought from trade/industry and meetings will be free of charge where possible. An Obstetric Anaesthetic Audit Prize will be awarded each year, funded by interest from the GOAL accounts.
Subscriptions
The need to levy a subscription and the amount where appropriate will be reviewed annually.
